2 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Keibert Ruiz is getting the day off on Wednesday against the Chicago Cubs. The breather comes a day after Ruiz went off with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 victory. The 24-year-old backstop is now hitting .247/.307/.359 with six home runs, 29 RBI, 26 runs scored and five stolen bases in 320 at-bats for the last-place Nationals. Tres Barrera will do the catching on Wednesday and is hitting ninth against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. Barrera needs to be avoided in DFS, as he's hitting just .167 (4-for-24) with no homers and four RBI in 10 games for the Nats in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
