Kellen Mond Passes For 56 Yards
3 years agoMinnesota Vikings quarterback Kellen Mond completed 6-of-16 passes for 56 yards in the Vikings preseason game against the Broncos. With starter Kirk Cousins not dressing for the game, Mond entered after second-string quarterback Jake Browning tossed an interception. The results were not pretty as Mond struggled to find open receivers but added 25 rushing yards on five attempts. The rookie passer only got three practices under his belt before being thrust into game action so it's hard to get too down on this mediocre debut performance. It will be easier to assess Mond's progress after another week of practice and more reps in the preseason.
