7 years agoThe Washington Nationals placed relief pitcher Kelvin Herrera (shoulder) on the disabled list on Wednesday with a right rotator cuff impingement. In a corresponding move, reliever Koda Glove has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse after two years of shoulder problems. Herrera blew the save in Game 2 of a doubleheader against the Braves on Tuesday and has struggled of late with a 4.76 ERA (nine earned runs) and four homers allowed in 17 innings since June 19. It'll likely be a lengthy absence, so he can probably be dropped in most leagues. With Sean Doolittle (foot) still out, the veteran Ryan Madson is expected to see most of the save chances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
