Ken Giles' ERA Baloons To 5.40 After Another Uneven Outing
7 years agoHouston Astros closer Ken Giles struggled again Thursday night, allowing two hits and one run in one inning of work in the Astros 5-2 win over the Rangers. It has been a tough stretch for Giles lately, allowing runs in three of his last five outings. Over the past week, he has been lit up by the Indians, the Red Sox and now the struggling Rangers. Reliever Hector Rondon got the save the other night, and it's clear that manager A.J. Hinch is rethinking his options when it comes to closing games. Giles is possibly one to avoid right now until he gets his confidence back.
