Ken Giles Has Not Allowed A Run Since May 1 Meltdown
7 years agoHouston Astros closer Ken Giles has not allowed a run over his last five appearances after blowing up against the Yankees on May 1. That performance ended with Giles allowing four runs and allowing one punch to his face by his own hand. The team backed off of him for a week, but he has bounced back nicely recently. Over his last 4 2/3 innings, he has struck out four hitters and picked up five saves. His WHIP is now at 0.93, and he has wrestled back the closer's role, for now, in the Astros bullpen. Now is a great time to utilize this newfound confidence in Giles in fantasy formats.
