Kendall Graveman Could Be Shifted To Relief Role
4 years agoSeattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Kendall Graveman announced earlier in the week that he had developed a bone tumor in his neck, an ailment that he would have to pitch through if he wanted to return in 2020. The Mariners are now considering a role out of the bullpen for Graveman, who has not appeared out of relief since 2014 when he was with Toronto. Having made his way back from Tommy John surgery, Graveman had struck out 10 batters in 8 ⅔ frames to begin the year, even as he yielded nine runs (eight earned). Should he be shifted to the bullpen, he would be effectively zapped of his fantasy intrigue for this season.
