Kendall Graveman Used In High Leverage
4 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Kendall Graveman had locked down the last two save opportunities entering Monday's game, but against the Los Angeles Dodgers he was brought in with one out and two on in the seventh inning. Graveman proceeded to set down the five batters he faced in order, collecting two strikeouts. He was credited with a hold. Despite not receiving the save chance, it is clear that Graveman is the top reliever in the Mariners bullpen. He came in at the biggest moment in the game, against perhaps the hottest hitter on the Los Angeles roster in Justin Turner, and left with the game still in hand. He currently has a 0.00 ERA and should be rostered in most leagues. It wouldn't be a surprise if he continued to get the majority of save chances.
