6 years agoFor the better part of June, Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Kendrys Morales was scorching the ball left and right. During the stretch lasting from June 6 through June 22, Morales quietly picked up nine multi-hit games in 11 starts with three home runs. Unfortunately, it looks like the 35-year-old may be coming back down to earth. Morales struck out in a pinch-hit appearance on Tuesday against the Houston Astros, leaving him with only one hit in his last four games. Of course, the one hit was a home run, but it’s still a far cry from the multi-hit Morales we came to know and love. We’ll see if he gets things going again on Wednesday.--John Smith
