7 years agoWe’ve all been wondering who would be the ninth inning man of choice for the Toronto Blue Jays with closer Roberto Osuna placed on leave. On Sunday, that man was unexpectedly designated hitter Kendrys Morales…except Toronto was down 9-2. If the Blue Jays truly don’t know who their new closer is yet, they may want to give Morales a chance - he threw a scoreless inning, allowing one walk and no hits (just kidding on him actually getting a shot, though)! Laughs aside, Morales did pick up two hits on Sunday, his first multi-hit game since May 1. He’s not worth any fantasy consideration right now with how bad he’s been, but with a career 0.00 ERA, the sky is the limit out of the pen for the 34-year-old.--John Smith
