3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen continued his struggles with his third consecutive blown save on Thursday versus the San Francisco Giants. Jansen was called to protect a 3-1 lead and started the inning by striking out two of the three first batters, but it was all downhill from there. Jansen was pulled with the bases loaded and would finish with a line of four hits, four runs, two walks and two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning. Jansen has blown up in the second half and managers may want to stick him on their bench until he can get his act together. It wouldn't be surprising to see Jansen demoted from his role at the moment and if that were the case, Blake Treinen would likely be next in line. Given Jansen's history, managers should give him a longer leash, but also scoop up Treinen if he is available as an insurance option.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
