7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen notched his third save of the year on Sunday, but not before providing some drama. He gave up two leadoff singles to Matt Adams and Wilmer Difo before setting down the next three batters, two by strikeout. His velocity on his cutter also got as high as 96 mph, which is a great sign considering his early season struggles. While the outing wasn't the lights-out performance that owners are used to from Jansen, it's important to remember that his late start to spring training might have something to do with it. Jansen was given time to recuperate from their World Series appearance and is just now getting to where he'd be if he had started the spring on time. No one stays at the top of the mountain forever, but it looks like Jansen will still be among the league's elite for now.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
