Kenley Jansen Secures His 15th Save
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Kenley Jansen worked around a triple allowed to Mets outfielder Pete Alonso, working 1 2/3 scoreless innings with three strikeouts in Monday's 9-5 win against the New York Mets. He picked up his 15th save, throwing 16 of his 19 pitches for strikes, including first-pitch strikes to all five of the batters he faced. The closer's ERA is a rather mediocre 3.52, but he has a solid 0.96 WHIP across 23 innings over 22 appearances, striking out 32 batters while allowing just five walks. He hasn't been quite as dominant as 2016 and 2017, but he remains one of the top fantasy closers in the game.
