6 years agoNew England Patriots wide receiver Kenny Britt has been released, per NFL.com. Britt has been battling a hamstring injury for the past week and the team appears to be not willing to wait for the veteran to heal up. Veteran receivers like Eric Decker and Phillip Dorsett are already trying to make the team and cutting Britt gives them an opportunity to get a longer look. Britt could certainly resurface with a new team down the road once he is healthy but that may not happen until the season is in full swing. Britt last season caught only 20 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns while playing for both the Patriots and Cleveland Browns.--Joey C - RotoBaller
