Kenny Pickett Throws TD Saturday
2 years agoPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett completed six of seven passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in a 16-15 preseason win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. Pickett was the second quarterback to enter the game, taking over for Mitch Trubisky shortly after the second quarter began. For the second preseason game in a row, Pickett looked good while running the Pittsburgh offense. On Saturday, he got to play with several Pittsburgh starters including Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Pat Freiermuth. Many assumed that Trubisky would open the season as Pittsburgh's QB1 but Pickett is doing his best to make it a tough decision for head coach Mike Tomlin. If he wins the job, Pickett is a solid dart throw in deeper two-quarterback leagues for the upcoming season
