Kenny Pickett's Hands Measure 8 5/8 Inches At Pro Day
3 years agoPittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett's hand size increased by an eighth of an inch from the NFL combine to 8 5/8 inches at his school's Pro Day on Monday. "The stretches work," Pickett said with a laugh. "It's the reason why I've been doing them. If it helped getting an eighth of an inch, I'll take it." However, Pickett's hands would still be the smallest of any starter or notable NFL backup. Despite questions about his hand size, he's expected to be a first-round pick in next month's draft, and he launched a couple of passes on Monday that traveled at least 60 yards in the air. It remains to be seen if he'll be starting immediately in his rookie season, but there's no question that Pickett is one of the strongest at his position in a weak QB class in 2022.
