Kenta Maeda Delivers Quality Start Against Blue Jays
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda allowed two runs on four hits across six innings of work during Thursday's 3-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He struck out nine batters while walking one. The 31-year-old has had a rocky season, mixing in brilliant outings with complete disasters. He owns an 8-8 record to go along with a 4.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 146/44 K/BB rate. His high strikeout totals make him a worthwhile starter in most fantasy formats, but he is tough to trust against quality competition. Maeda has a decent matchup in his next projected start against the San Diego Padres, but he surrendered five runs to them back on August 4.
