Kenta Maeda Lands On Injured List Monday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday due to right forearm tightness, the team announced on Twitter. Maeda suffered the injury in his last outing against the Yankees, as he was forced to exit in the fifth inning on Saturday. He's had a rough year on the mound so far, going 6-5 with a 4.66 ERA, 1.298 WHIP and 24.9 percent strikeout rate over 106 1/3 innings of work. Managers who still have him rostered can stash him on the IL for now, but it's entirely possible the Twins may decide to shut him down for the year.
