4 years agoMinnesota Twins starter Kenta Maeda struck out seven batters across five innings while allowing one run en route to his fourth victory of the season. At the halfway point, Maeda ranks in the top-15 of all starters in wins, earned run average, innings pitched and strikeouts. The 31-year-old has also posted career-bests in walk percentage, 5.1, and groundball percentage, 51.7, while limiting the long-ball better than ever. This makes him one of the safest starters out there, though he also has exhibited great upside for fantasy purposes- 12 strikeouts and eight innings pitched against Milwaukee on August 18. Maeda is a must-start in all formats for his next outing against the Tigers.--Tim Capurso
