5 years agoMiami Dolphins running backs Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage shared the tiny load equally on Sunday, in a 43-0 loss at home to the New England Patriots. Ballage started the game and played in the second series as well before giving way to Drake for Miami's final three drives of the half. The two backs then alternated series in the second half before giving way to backup Mark Walton late in the blowout loss. Neither back put much on the stat-line, with Drake rushing six times for 19 yards and Ballage managing only six yards on four carries. While they were near equal in targets, Drake did more with his six - catching five passes for 29 yards - while Ballage caught only one of his five targets for six yards. Given the state of disarray in Miami, owners of either back can only hope that the recent rumors about Kenyan Drake being on the trade block are true, as a trade may put him in a better situation as well as allow Ballage to take over the full-time job for the Dolphins.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
