Kenyan Drake Devoid Of Upside
5 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake won't have a heavy workload in Week 9 after just arriving via trade a few days ago. He's also facing one of the best defenses against the position the last five weeks. Running back David Johnson (ankle) will be a game-time decision, and Drake will either share the load with him or Alfred Morris. The most likely scenario is Morris takes first and second down, and Drake comes in on third downs and passing situations. The San Francisco 49ers have allowed nine grabs for 86 yards to running backs the last four games. There just isn't enough there to suggest starting Drake this week. However, if you're up against it due to injuries or bye weeks, he's only a flex option in point-per-reception leagues.
