4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Keon Broxton has been handling the bat very well this spring. A non-roster invitee, Broxton is currently batting .625 in six games with five hits, three runs, three RBI, and a stolen base. The 30-year-old has been getting the barrel of the bat on the ball and crushing it, as his three-run homer Sunday traveled 419 feet at an exit velocity of 110.1 MPH. Broxton has been known more as a defender in his career- though he did hit 20 homers and steal 21 bases with the Brewers in 2017. He could make the Opening Day roster if he keeps hitting like this, though it's no sure thing with Alex Kirilloff, Brent Rooker, Jake Cave, and Kyle Garlick also in the mix.--Tim Capurso
