4 years agoDetroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson could be in line for a heavy workload Week 1 against the Bears. The Lions drafted rookie D'Andre Swift to be the unquestioned feature back but Swift has missed a majority of training camp with an undisclosed injury. The rookie has returned to the practice field but is being brought along very slowly. This opens the door for Johnson to see a significant amount of first-team snaps when Detroit kicks off their season on September 13. Drafting Johnson before the final handful of fantasy rounds would be a mistake but rostering him could prove to be an intriguing short-term FLEX option once the season kicks off.--Joey C - RotoBaller
