Keston Hiura Optioned To Minors Wednesday
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers optioned infielder Keston Hiura to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday and selected right-hander Connor Sadzeck's contract from Nashville in a corresponding move. Hiura's demotion is a bit curious, as he had started in five of the team's last seven games while going 8-for-21 (.381) with two home runs and three RBI in seven games over the last two weeks for the Brew Crew. There's a good chance we'll see the 25-year-old back with Milwaukee to open the second half of the season after the All-Star break. Overall in 2022 in 122 at-bats, Hiura is hitting .238/.354/.451 with an .805 OPS, eight home runs, 17 RBI, 20 runs scored and four stolen bases.
