4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Ketel Marte went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in a 9-2 victory over the Angels on Thursday. It was Marte's first multi-hit performance of the spring as he is now 4-for-7 at the plate through his first three games. Marte's numbers took a slight hit last year as he finished with a .287 average and .409 slugging percentage, and his .261 xBA and .375 xSLG suggest that he was somewhat lucky at the plate even with the slight downturn. Despite that he managed to lower his strikeout rate to a career-best 10.8 percent, and even if he doesn't match his 2019 numbers he still remains a double-digit home run and steals threat.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
