5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder/infielder Ketel Marte hit his 14th home run of the season Sunday, a 482-foot bomb leading off the bottom of the first inning. Tied for the longest in MLB this season, it set the tone for a 7-1 victory of the New York Mets. Marte added a two-run single in the ninth inning, ending the day 2-for-5. He is now hitting .280/.331/.534 in a breakout campaign that was anticipated by some before the season. It would be nice to see him run more (3-for-3 on steals this season), but Marte is nevertheless an asset in all leagues with his multi-position eligibility.--Nathaniel Green
