Kevin Alcantara Hits Another Grand Slam In Single-A
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfield prospect Kevin Alcantara went 2-for-4 with a walk and hit his third grand slam of the season for Single-A Myrtle Beach on Sunday. The outfielder has been putting together a solid campaign this season with a .271 batting average to go along with 14 homers, 82 RBI and 14 stolen bases. Despite a strong season, Alcantara and his big 6'6 frame will have to prove success as he rises through the system. Despite the Cubs being in a full rebuild, they have been reluctant to promote many of their top prospects and managers shouldn't expect Alcantara to be on a big-league roster for at least a few seasons. For now, he is an intriguing name for dynasty managers to track his development over the next few seasons.
