2 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman wasn't at his sharpest on Thursday despite his team emerging victorious in a 6-5 extra-inning win over the Red Sox. The right-hander tied his season-high by giving up nine hits over five innings, but was able to limit the damage to four runs since eight of the hits were singles. Gausman was able to punch out six batters without issuing a free pass as he now sits with a 155/22 K/BB and a 3.15 ERA through 134 1/3 IP in his first season north of the border. He'll look to rebound when the Cubs come to town next week for an interleague series.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
