Kevin Gausman Hit Hard Again Saturday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had his second rough outing in a row in Saturday's 8-5 loss to the Yankees. The 27-year-old gave up six runs (five earned) on nine hits, two of which were home runs, and no walks with nine strikeouts. Gausman has had an up-and-down season, posting a 4.63 ERA and a 1.38 WHIP in 70 innings pitched. One of his main issues has been giving up the long ball; his 13 HR surrendered are among the highest in baseball. At this point, it seems that fantasy owners will have to choose their matchups wisely with Gausman until he can get his HR problem under control. He will look to rebound in his next start against the Blue Jays.
