7 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kevin Gausman (head) was injured after he collided with Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario during his spring start Monday. Gausman was backing up a throw to home after a Leonys Martin single. He apparently hit his head and was taken out after undergoing the concussion protocol. Gausman is seen as one of the few consistent Baltimore starting pitchers. Ultimately, he gave up five runs over 1 1/3 innings, two of them scoring after he came out of the game.
