2 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker confirmed on Wednesday that starting pitcher Kevin Gausman (ankle) won't make his scheduled start on Thursday against the Seattle Mariners, but he could toe the rubber next in the series finale against Seattle on Sunday. Gausman was unable to throw his normal between-starts bullpen session on Tuesday after he was drilled by a comebacker in his last outing over the weekend. The 31-year-old has continued his success from last year with the San Francisco Giants and has gone 6-6 with a 2.86 ERA and 1.27 WHIP while striking out 100 and walking only 16 in 88 innings in his 16 starts. He'll be a bit more risky his next time out, but Gausman has earned must-start status.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
