5 years agoPending unrestricted free-agent winger Kevin Hayes and the Philadelphia Flyers agreed on a seven-year contract Wednesday with an average-annual value (AAV) of $7.14 million. The Flyers acquired the free-agent negotiating rights from the Winnipeg Jets, and the move appears on the brink of paying off after a free-agent visit wowed him last week. If the deal is finalized, he'd move back to the Eastern Conference after a brief 20-game showing with the Jets after last season's trade from the New York Rangers.--Daniel Dobish
