4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier left Wednesday’s game against the Orioles early due to an apparent injury. Kiermaier had been drilled on the foot by a pitch earlier in the week, but felt ready enough to play Wednesday. Willy Adames entered the lineup with Kiermaier exiting, allowing Manuel Margot to shift over to center; Margot will likely claim CF duties if Kiermaier faces any kind of extended absence. Having gone 0-for-1 before departing, Kiermaier dipped his average on the year down to .225, making him a non-entity in season-long formats largely due to the Rays' platoon nature.
