Kevin Kiermaier Drives In Career-High Five Runs In Game 1 Win
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier went 2-for-3 with a double, homer, and five RBI in Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against Cleveland. He smacked a two-run double off J.C. Meija in the bottom of the first inning to give the Rays a 3-1 lead. The Rays outfielder later belted a three-run shot off Meija in the bottom of the third frame for his second homer of the season. Kiermaier wasn't in the starting lineup for Game 2 after driving in a career-high five runs. The 31-year-old is slashing .239/.292/.335 with two homers, 18 RBI, 23 runs scored, and five stolen bases across 202 plate appearances in 2021. Kiermaier is a speculative add in deep-league formats while Manuel Margot (hamstring) is sidelined.
