4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (wrist) exited Saturday's game with a wrist sprain, and could be facing a potential stint on the injured list, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Kiermaier had drawn a one-out walk in the top of the second, and then injured his wrist when he was caught stealing to end the inning, and he was replaced defensively in the bottom of the inning by Manuel Margot. After the game, manager Kevin Cash said that it could warrant a stay on the IL, however they would not know more until Sunday. Kiermaier has gotten off to a slow start this year, slashing .217/.289/.290 in 22 games. If he misses an extended period of time, Brett Phillips will likely see an increase in playing time in the outfield.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
