7 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (illness) and infielder Matt Duffy (back) are both out of the starting lineup on Monday. Kiermaier has been hot this month, going 13-for-25 (.520) with three homers and seven RBI in seven games. Duffy has been hitting, too, going 8-for-26 (.308) with no homers and seven RBI in the same time frame. Both players figure to be day-to-day and could return on Tuesday. Joey Wendle is filling in at third base and is batting fifth against Indians starter Corey Kluber.
