4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (wrist) was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left wrist sprain, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Kiermaier injured his wrist early in Saturday's game when he attempted to steal second base, and he was replaced on defense in the following inning. In a corresponding move, the Rays recalled relief pitcher Louis Head. With Kiermaier out, Brett Phillips will likely see an increase in playing time for Tampa Bay.
