4 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (quad) says that he will miss a few weeks, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. Kiermaier exited Monday's game early with what was reported to be quad tightness. There's no official word from the team yet, but it seems like Kiermaier is heading for a stint on the IL. With Kiermaier out, Manuel Margot will be the guy who benefits the most with increased playing time. Margot has shown double-digit home run potential while being a 15 to 20-steals threat in his career, and he had a solid Spring Training in which he slashed .378/.467/.568 with two steals and an 11:7 K:BB ratio. Managers looking for a bench outfielder to plug in during their starters' off days should look at Margot as a solid option off the waiver-wire.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
