3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates shortstop Kevin Newman went 4-for-4 with four doubles, two RBI and four runs scored in a 14-4 win in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against Milwaukee. It's been a disappointing year for Newman, who is slashing .227/.264/.303 over 107 games this season. However he has started to heat up at the plate recently, as he's now slashing .319/.340/.532 with one steal, eight RBI and seven runs scored over his last 15 games.
