3 years agoNew Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said that he will call the offensive plays for the team in 2022. O'Connell spent the last two seasons as the Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator, working closely with head coach Sean McVay, who called the plays in LA. "I feel like I've been around one of the best play-callers in the NFL over the last couple years [in McVay], and obviously the system we run here will have a lot of characteristics of what we did in Los Angeles, the ability to have that attacking mindset, the ability to utilize our offense at the line of scrimmage," O'Connell said. The Vikings and O'Connell expect quarterback Kirk Cousins to stick around in 2022 in the final year of his deal.
