7 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays activated outfielder Kevin Pillar (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list on Friday. Pitcher Brandon Cumpton was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. Pillar immediately returned to center field and was hitting ninth on Friday. The defensive whiz started the year off hot at the plate but began fading before his injury, as he was hitting just .212 with four home runs and 16 RBI in 37 games from June 1 to July 14, when he was injured. Pillar is a very streaky hitter, but fantasy owners in deeper leagues really own him for his speed (11 steals).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
