Kevin Pillar Closing Out A Solid Spring
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar has posted a .333/.395/.515 slash line, with three doubles, two triples, and two stolen bases across 39 Grapefruit League at-bats. It has been a very solid spring for Pillar who will likely serve in a fourth outfielder/defensive replacement role for the Mets in 2021. Pillar is also coming off of a strong 2020 season in which he posted a .288/.336/.462 slash line with six home runs, and 26 RBI in 54 games for the Rockies and Red Sox. Given the depth of the Mets' outfield, Pillar, with an ADP of 524, is going largely undrafted in all but the deepest of mixed and NL-only leagues heading into the 2021 season. That said, if the Mets suffer an injury to one of their starting outfielders, Pillar would stand to get a huge boost in playing time, immediately making him a viable waiver wire add in most formats.
