7 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar had a rare game on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners – he didn’t pick up a hit. The caveat there, though, is that no Blue Jay did as they were no-hit by James Paxton. Given the way Pillar is going, he’ll likely pick up right where he left off prior to Tuesday. Pillar has had two separate hitting streaks of nine games apiece this season, the latest of which was snapped on May 3. He didn’t seem to be falling into a slump, though, as on Sunday he turned around and smacked two doubles. For the season, he’s up to a fantastic .309/.356/.537 (.892 OPS) with four home runs, 23 runs scored, 16 RBI and six stolen bases.--John Smith
