6 years agoIt’s been a long, miserable stretch for Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar after yet another scorching start, but hopefully his effort on Tuesday against the New York Yankees will be something to build off of moving forward. In a 7-2 loss, Pillar finished 1-for-3 with a home run. It was his fifth homer of the season but only his first since April 29. The 29-year-old now owns a .260/.302/.435 slash line with the aforementioned five bombs, 20 doubles, two triples, 30 runs scored, 22 RBI and nine stolen bases. He should continue to contribute decent counting stats, but his averages are plummeting.--John Smith
