3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, his eighth of the season, and a walk in the Mets 4-2 loss to the Phillies on Sunday. His home run was his second in as many games and he continues to be one of the lone bright spots in a Mets offense that has been anemic over the past few weeks. Pillar owns a somewhat unimpressive .231/.272/.431 slash line on the season, but he has eight homers, 21 runs scored, and 20 RBI in just 160 at-bats. Once Brandon Nimmo (finger) returns from the injured list within the next few days, Pillar's playing time will likely be reduced. Notwithstanding, given his contributions, the Mets should find ways to get his bat into the lineup on a somewhat regular basis. Pillar will remain a sneaky DFS tournament play option on the days he is in the lineup for the Mets.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
