Kevin Plawecki Remains Ice Cold
6 years agoNew York Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki was once among the better hitting catching prospects in baseball, finding success with the bat at just about every minor league stop. That success hasn’t translated to the Major Leagues, even though 2018 was his best chance to do so after platoon-mate Travis d’Arnaud went down for the year in April (he now splits duties with Devin Mesoraco, whom the Mets acquired after Plawecki continued to fail producing). Plawecki how owns a .217/.351/.370 slash line with only one home run across 92 at-bats this season; he has only three hits in his last 21. Maybe one day he’ll figure it out, but it’s not something fantasy players should be betting on in 2018.
