3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks relief pitcher Keynan Middleton (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on May 27. Middleton went on the injured list on May 17 when he was feeling "a little bit of discomfort," according to manager Torey Lovullo. The skipper called it "the wear and tear of going out and executing at the high level that he was." The 28-year-old is working his way back, but he'll likely need at least an outing or two in the minor leagues before Arizona activates him from the IL. Middleton had allowed two earned runs while walking one and striking out five in 4 2/3 relief innings over six appearances before being sidelined with right elbow inflammation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
