7 years agoLos Angeles Angels closer Keynan Middleton (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery, ending his 2018 season. Middleton was placed on the disabled list earlier in the week with a damaged UCL, and the worst has now been confirmed. Middleton can be dropped in all redraft leagues and most dynasty formats as well. Manager Mike Scioscia has not named a replacement, instead opting to go with a committee. Desperate owners looking for saves can look at Jim Johnson or Cam Bedrosian for saves. Rookie reliever Justin Anderson is a wild-card option as well.--patton
