Khalil Herbert Could Become Lead Back

2 years agoThe Chicago Bears coaching staff seems to like running back David Montgomery, but there is some skepticism about whether his style fits the new offense as well as Khalil Herbert's does. ESPN's Dan Graziano thinks Montgomery opens the year as the starter and gets the chance to prove that he deserves the job. But he's in the final year of his contract, and the Bears haven't made any moves this offseason to extend him. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if Herbert is a factor, and he could even overtake Montgomery for the lead role at some point in 2022. Fantasy managers should definitely look to pair Herbert with Montgomery if they select the latter as an RB2 in fantasy drafts this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
