Khalil Herbert Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football

2 years agoChicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert should continue to lead the team in carries for their Week 8 matchup against the 49ers. The sixth-round pick has emerged over the past few weeks due to starter David Montgomery's knee injury and Damien Williams finding himself on the COVID list two weeks ago. The rookie has posted 272 rushing yards over his last three games, averaging 18.3 carries during that span. Williams returned to the field last week but Herbert has ascended above him on the depth chart. The Bears run-heavy offense will go up against a 49ers defense that is allowing the 16th fewest fantasy points to opposing runners this season but was gashed by the Colts Jonathan Taylor in Week 7. Herbert has RB2 upside this week and is in line for at least 15-plus carries in Week 8.--Joey C - RotoBaller
