2 years agoBuffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Khalil Shakir failed to reel in either of his two targets at mandatory minicamp practice on Wednesday, but he remains a solid route-runner who still needs some seasoning. It remains to be seen how Buffalo will use Shakir in his rookie season, but with how well Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and veteran Jamison Crowder have looked this spring, and the Bills' reluctance to play late-round rookies in their first season, it's currently tough to see a path to consistent playing time for Shakir in 2022, in the opinion of The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia.
